Heru Nugraha Perdana: AIESEC UNAND President 14/15

Proudly announce that we have Heru Nugraha Perdana (Vice President of Incoming Exchange GCDP 13/14) as our leader to LEAD this organization for the next term!

We still have six and half months to go of 13/14 term but we really hope he could maximize his preparation and strategy to create his own team ready to continue the glorious journey in 14/15.

Global Internship Fair 2012

DAY ONE: December 7, 2013

This is the biggest event of Outgoing Exchange  Global Internship Program 2013. Held at Auditorium Rumah Dinas Gubernur Sumatera Barat. . From the outside of the building you can see many young people dressed in neat clothes.

The event started at precise 9 a.m by the MC, Fitri Utami and Mentari Armei Linda. The Organizing Committee presented the opening slide as the official starter of the event. Since Asia Pasific Lead Summit 2013 is running at that moment, our Local Committee President, Julianda Wirda Pratama couldn't give the opening speech, but Siti Nurfitriana [VP of Talent Management 1314] acted as LCP Infal.

Next session is AIESEC Explanation by Annisa Irma Yuditiani [VP of Marketing Communication 1314] for participant to get insight about what is AIESEC actually.

Followed by  explanation about Global Internship Program bg Rahmad Eka Putra [VP of oGIP 1314], and how is it amazing to go abroad and work somehwere after you are graduate! Just for the record, there are more than 60 university students came to the event and buy application form.

Our external speaker bapak Prof. Dr. Ir. Hermansyah, MS, MSc [Dosen Fakultas Pertanian, Ilmu Tanah] explain about Curiculum Vitae. Why it's essential for the graduate students to prepare for it, for they are going to touch the working experience very soon. He also gave us the advice on mastering interview. The key is on your preparation [watchout every detail about interview process, place, what to bring, time, profile of company, and type of job you demand], you have to have commitment and know your value and capacity that you have. Prof. Hermansyah also share about the benefit of internship.

Many participant enthusiast with the session, a lot of them asking questions.

The next session is sharing session with our Trainee, Simone Mcnamara and EP returnee, Liyana Ruhanisa [Japan] and Water Rachim Body [Jerman]. Liyana Ruhanisa, or Kak Yana was teaching kids at Kindegarten, while Bang Water was working with Interactive Online Language portal, he was making a dictionary of Bahasa for blab.la. After that was break for lunch and pray.

The next session was conducted by Fifeka Onanda Wahid [oGIP Manager] explained about Companies that available for participant to apply. Some of them are Alcatel-Lucant in Belgium, BP International, Pwc United States, and so on. Ona also explained about how to fill the application form.

At 14:15 the first day of Global Internship Fair over. Tomorrow all participant will getting deeper into the company they are desire to have internship with, there'll be a job fair for all TNs available! Getting to internship abroad never been this fun before.

DAY TWO:  December 8th, 2013

On the day two,  applicants get full explanation per TN. So, all Management Board acted as representatives of 17 TN. There was also special table in the middle of the room where the applicants could see the example of CV, and other documents required for application. Day two is also the day where the applicants submit the application requirement to oGIP AIESEC UNAND. Good luck on your submission, applicants!

This event would not run smoothly without hard effort of OC and also the sponsors, Pocari Sweat and Mesin Hujan. So, We want to say Thank You to all parties that helped us on this event!

2nd Conference of Global Language Course 2014: Entity Engagement

Sunday, November 24th 2013 is the day awaited by the entity to declare themselves work closely with AIESEC UNAND in Global Language Course. Global Language Course (a.k.a GLC) is held to help youth to learn the foreign language with unique way. This program will be run from January to March. GLC is for student of Junior High Schools, Senior High Schools and Collages.

The registration time started from 8.00 to 08.55. At 09.00, our MC, Fitri Utami and Gysha Nabila opened the Conference. They attracted participant by joking around.

Then Ahmad Fadhli as AIESEC UNAND GLC 2014 Orginazing Committee Precident greeted all participants then followed by Nanda Pramana as Vice Precident of ICX GIP 13/14.

After that, some of entities shared about their story in promotion GLC in their school or collage.

Kiki Alwi as Supervisor of GLC explained about Exchange Flow. There are 3 flows of exchange: Raise, Match, and Realize.

After that, Rossy Trianna Iskandar and Rahma Jamillah F. explained about Realization.

Participants looked enthusiastic in Question and Answer Session.

MoU explanation was explained by Nanda Pramana. And the most wanted agenda which is signing contract between OC GLC and Entity run well. This signing contract means that this entity officialy work closely with AIESEC UNAND in Global Language Course.

Every participants made their cloud wish for GLC program. They enjoyed to do that.

Second Conference of GLC ended at signing by amazing closing video by Organizing Committee. Then, participants took a photo session with AIESECers and Ocs.

The Next Event of GLC:

-Global Language Course runs from January to March in Entity place

-Language Tour is a refreshing time between participants, trainee, and AIESECers which time depends on participant in each entity.

-Global Village shows the unique culture from trainee’s country which hold in February, 8th (place in confirm)

-Closing (Graduation and GLC Award) on March 30th 2014 (place in confirm)

Family Gathering 2013: We Have Story To Tell

The night of November 9th 2013 became the witness of a prominent annual event of AIESEC UNAND. The event where all stakeholders gather (partners, BOA, new member's family). Family Gathering of this year was held at Tung Tung Restaurant. The theme is "We Have Story To Tell". At 18:05, one by one new member's parents all wearing batik came into the hall, fairy tales sounds played as accompaniment. 

The registration time started from 18:00 to  18:55. When the clock strcuked seven times, our MC, Gysha Nabila and Agung Rahmad opened the event.

After finished watching an opening video, there was a special performance by newees and trainees, which was Tari Pasambahan.

After that, Julianda Wirda Pratama [Local Committee President 1314] greeted all stakeholders with opening speech. Bapak Syahrial Syarif, our BoA talked about how good AIESEC as a platform to develop young peoples.

During break dinner at 19:45 to 20:00, Management Board 1314 gave a special acoustic performance, they are Rimbun Pasuri, Esty Alfiona, Heru Nugraha Pratama and Septianingsih.

At that time, there was also special video of newee that been prepared by OCs to be shown to their parents. On the video, newees [Siraj Amali, Fhadeo Irwandy, Oliva Yustina Tagi, Faradina Dwiyantissa, Syarah Bakti Aimi and Alisa Iskandar] were asked about what are they doing in AIESEC at the moment, their feelings after involve in AIESEC, and their gratitude to parents. Siraj Amali, one of the newee felt that AIESEC is the best way to discover young people's potential and Oliva Yustina, eventhough still a newee, guaranteed that being busy in AIESEC will bring positive impact and suggested to parents not to worry about it.

After the dinner, we held a Talkshow with our BoA, Bunda Rahmi Fahmy, Kak Valeny, and Bunda  Vivi [a mother who has two daughters who are AIESEC UNAND members]. Bunda Vivi found the difference between her daughter who is AIESECer with the other that doesn't, she thinks AIESECer is easier to adapt with new situation and prepared for any kind of situation. Bunda Rahmi said, as a lecturer and a mothers of AIESECers too, AIESECers are good at mananing risk, tolerating other culutres, responsible, possesed high vision [turns that, many of AIESECers pictured their future career abroad]  and also innovative young peoples. Kak Valeny, an ORI 13, said AIESEC life has composed things that you will face in the future, your future career, specifially. She also suggested that you have to focus on what you do. Time went so fast. At 20:40 the curtain fell and leave all parents with the brand new insight on seeing AIESECer activities.


Bapak Basrial Djabar, our BoA, who couldn't come to the event was leave a message as well through a video. He had been 15 years for AIESEC and recommend it a lot for students.

Then the sacred moment arrived, the inaugural of ORI 22.

After that was Newee performance which was medley song and poetry.

At 21:30, Family Gathering" We Have Story to Tell was over. That was the warmest night of this year...!

Grand Opening AIESEC UNAND BBMK 2013: Get To Know Us, Get To Know You

On a bright Sunday morning, November 9th 2013, many students wearing self-made name tag gathered up at Aula Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Andalas, Limau Manis, Padang. They crowded registration table outside the entrance. These students are AIESEC UNAND BBMK 2013 participants.

 At 9 a.m the Grand Opening was officially started by our MC, Nikos Joshua and Fitri Utami.

The first session was speech by AIESEC UNAND Local Committee President 1314, Julianda Wirda Pratama with Simone McNamara [Australia] and Louise Leglet [Belgia] and  then followed by AIESEC UNAND BBMK 2013 Organizing Committe President, Agung Rahman explained about BBMK in AIESEC.

Annisa Irma Yudtiani (Vice President of Marketing Communication 1314) later explained about AIESEC in general and Heru Nugraha Pratama (Vice President of ICX GCDP 1314) explained about AIESEC History: "Once Upon a Time in AIESEC".

We are trying to create real AIESEC atmosphere during the grand opening, since after this event, participant will explore more about life as an AIESECer. To warmed up the freeze time there was also Must-Do-Box and Gossip Box just like Local Committee Conference.

The next session is the International and Local Level conducted by Dian Famudillah (Vice President of Expansion 1314), explained the whole structure of AIESEC as an International organization (from International level to Local level).

After that, the participant got knowledge about how to dress formally, conducted by Vilgia Delarhoza (Vice President of External Relations). The last session was where the participants fullfiling the evaluation sheet on the group.
